1. Service Description
Bible content provided by the App is for personal study and devotional use only, not for commercial purposes. The App offers free basic features and paid subscription premium features.
2. Subscriptions
Subscription Plans
- Monthly: $12.99/month (3-day free trial for first-time subscribers)
- Annual: $59.99/year (approximately $5.00/month, save 65%)
Subscription Terms
- All subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase (IAP) system.
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions).
- The free trial lasts 3 days, applies to the monthly plan only, and is available once per Apple ID.
- After the trial ends, you will be downgraded to a free user if you do not subscribe.
- Subscription prices may vary by region; please refer to the App Store for current pricing.
Subscription Features
- Multiple translations and parallel reading (up to 3 translations side by side)
- Unlimited bookmarks and highlights
- Personal study notes (up to 5,000 characters per note)
- Study plans and completion certificates
- iCloud cross-device sync
- Offline translation downloads
3. Free User Limitations
Free users have access to the following basic features:
- Read all Bible chapters (KJV translation)
- Basic keyword search
- Up to 5 bookmarks
- Up to 10 highlights
Premium features including multiple translations, notes, cloud sync, offline downloads, and study plans require a subscription.
4. User Content
- User-generated content (bookmarks, highlights, notes, study progress, etc.) belongs to the user.
- User content is stored locally on the device; subscribers can sync via iCloud.
- We are not responsible for loss of user content; regular iCloud sync backup is recommended.
- Users can delete all local data at any time through Settings > Data Management > Clear All Data.
5. Advertising and Tracking
- The App includes Google AdMob advertisements.
- The App will request your ad tracking authorization through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework on first use.
- You may decline, and ads will be shown in a non-personalized manner.
- You can change this authorization at any time in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
6. Data and Privacy
How your personal data is handled is detailed in our Privacy Policy. Key principles include:
- No account registration required
- No personally identifiable information collected
- Data stored only locally and in your personal iCloud
- Payments handled entirely by Apple
- Sensitive data encrypted with AES-256-GCM
7. Intellectual Property
- Copyright of Bible translation content belongs to their respective copyright holders (KJV is in the public domain; CEV and GNT are copyrighted by the American Bible Society).
- Intellectual property of the App's interface design, functionality, and original content belongs to the developer.
- No part of this App may be reproduced, modified, or distributed without authorization.
8. Usage Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security measures or usage restrictions of the App
- Use the App's content for commercial purposes
9. Disclaimer
- The App is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of this App.
- We do not guarantee that the App will operate without interruption or error.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Users will be notified of significant changes within the App.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction.
